The first semester is nearing the end as we approach Christmas Vacation. Over the next 7 -8 weeks there is a lot to accomplish in our classrooms that must be packed in between the 2 week break. Please visit with you student about being prepared over the break to complete assignments, study for upcoming exams, or make up missing work. Although homework should be minimal over the break, it is critical for students to spend some time reviewing and preparing for the end of the semester. First semester finals occur the 3rd week of January, as the semester is finished Jan 22.

Our winter season is in full swing and we are excited about the many upcoming activities and sporting events that will take place over the next several months at the school. Whether it’s a concert, debate competition, basketball game, or wrestling match we invite you to come out to the school and support the Bees in their many activities. These programs provide and build self worth and confidence within the participants and a sense of pride and excitement in the community. We hope to see you all out supporting the Bees throughout the season.

I am appreciative of the many good things that are occurring with our students at Bonneville. Our teachers work diligently to create and plan meaningful lessons to engage their students in learning. By doing so, we are able to gather data from these lessons and common formative assessments to ensure that our students are mastering the essential standards in each of their classes. It is imperative for student learning that our planning and collaboration is driven towards data driven instruction. I am confident that this will result in improved pass rate, higher scores on college entrance exams, and most importantly build confident learners who are prepared for college or the workforce.

We hope you and your family has a wonderful Holiday Season and an enjoyable and relaxing Christmas Break. It is a great time to be a Bee!
