Bonneville High School Counselors

 Bonneville High School counselors are committed to helping students learn. Through individual counseling, classroom presentations, and work with special groups, counselors help facilitate the development of appropriate social skills, encourage career exploration and emphasize academic excellence. Counselors are anxious to meet with teachers and parents as needed in order to maximize the student's potential for success. Counselors also provide information regarding high school course selection, post-secondary training options, financial aid and scholarships, and career choice.

Specializing in at-risk interventions he worked as a school counselor and the Safe and Drug Free Schools Coordinator in the Idaho Falls School District before joining the team at Bonneville High. He graduated from Idaho Falls High, attended Weber State University and received his Masters in Educational Counseling from the University of Phoenix.

She was born and raised in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School. She received her Bachelor's of Arts degree from Idaho State University and taught English and History for 15 years. Mrs. Thompson also earned her Master's in Counseling and an Ed Specialist in Counseling at Idaho State University. Mrs. Thompson has been a counselor at BHS since 2008.

Devyn Hannig is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She was born in Beaumont, Texas. She is a world traveler and even lived in Sao Paulo, Brazil for a year and half. She received her Bachelor's of Social Work from Brigham Young University-Idaho. She received her Master's of Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa. She has experience in District 93 as a behavioral support professional, in the Idaho community as a case manager, Idaho District 3 Family Court, and in an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital. She is a co-coordinator for SAT and PSAT/NMSQT testing.
